Health insurance is a very highly regulated form of financial protection, in the sense that there are a number of mandatory provisions that must be included in the contract. When you have finished this chapter you will be familiar with the NAIC's model health insurance policy provisions, some common exclusions and restrictions, and renewability provisions.
