This chapter will further your understanding of variable contracts as it serves as a continuation of the information presented in Chapters 5 and 11. If you had difficulties with those chapters or feel you need to refresh your memory before continuing with this complex subject, then we recommend you do so before going on.

Although the manual lists this chapter as a Law chapter at the end, we feel it belongs after the Annuity section you recently finished. This, we think, is the logical order. Even so, this particular law chapter is mostly a review but there are a few topics which should be given a careful eye.
