Good morning! I'm Dave Watson. I'm going to be your instructor.
What's our primary purpose for the next few days? Pass the test.
We have one objective in this class. To learn as much information as necessary to pass the test, a very difficult exam. What we do is a little unique. We teach by using stories, some real, some not. The Socratic method. Being able to understand the concept is the most important thing. The stories "stick".
We will cover everything you need to know to provide knowledge and understanding in a way that will make learning enjoyable. We have put this course in a dialog format between the instructor and an actual class, several classes, as a matter of fact. We are actually teaching the material as we would if you were sitting in one of our classes.
Please pay very close attention to the asterisks, the bolded words, and specifically the vocabulary. Do this, along with the practice tests, video library, and the Tuesday night Webcast, and I promise you will pass the exam.
The class is taught from the assumption that you know absolutely nothing. So, please do not hesitate to call or email. The questions asked by students throughout this course are actual questions we get in each course.
Also, many students have responded by taking notes throughout the course. This helps solidify the information. Please do not rush through this course, take your time.
We have taught tens of thousands of students over the years. This license has changed many, many lives and I am sure it will change yours.
If you don't understand something please call or email us. Students have an Email link. Send us your questions and we will get back to you shortly.
An important note!
For those testing with Pearson Vue, please note in the exam outline, (found as a download in your "to-do list"), that the exam will ask you an additional 15 questions that DO NOT COUNT!
These questions are not found in the course or the state's outline. They will be totally foreign to you. You might think you are taking the wrong test. We have heard of home-owners insurance questions being asked. Again, they DO NOT count. Don't freak out. Just answer it the best you can. When you see a question about material that you haven't seen in the course, it is probably one of these. Their explanation as to why they do this makes no sense. It is what it is. It is better for you to have this information than to be surprised when you show up for the exam. Exams are stressful enough.
