Believe it or not, a life insurance contract is a piece of property. The policy owner is thus enabled with certain rights, and is also kept in check with certain responsibilities and limitations. These characteristics of the policy owner's role are laid out in a policy's provisions. This chapter explains those provisions, riders, and other options that allow a policy owner the reasonable flexibility to form a policy around his/her specific needs.
